We are a tribal program that promotes the economic and social well-being of families, children, individuals and community with funding, strategic partnerships, guidance, training and technical assistance.

Leadership

Each program area has its own managers and directors who ensures that the activities of the office support Oshkiimaajitahdah's mission of educating families to discover their strengths as individuals.


Programs

Oshkiimaajitahdah is comprised of 22 program divisions to include:

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Public Law 102-477 (477), Emergency Supportive Services (ESS), Tribal Employment Rights Ordinances (TERO), Oshkiimaajitahdah Institute of Technology (OIT), OIT Automotive Training Center, Wiisiniiwigamig Cafe & Catering, Red Lake Nation Child Development Center, Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), Child Care Development Fund (CCDF), Adult Basic Education (ABE) & General Education Development Program (GED), Career Development Services (CDS), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Community Action Program (CAP), Child Support Enforcement, Red Lake Vocational Rehabilitation (RLVR), Grant Writing, MNSURE Assisters, Agriculture, Ganawenindiwag Cultural Program, Fraud, Red Lake Nation Radio Station


History

Oshkiimaajitahdah was created in 2000 with the integration, merger consolidation of Beltrami County Human Services along with federal agencies to include the Department of Interior (DOI), Department of Labor (DOL), and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to provide monitory assistance and employment services. Since the inception of Oshkiimaajitahdah the tribe has taken over all Beltrami County functionality within the organization and has included Energy Assistance, Child Support and Tribal Employment Rights Ordinances (TERO) programs.
